Job title: Sterile Services Technician

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £15 - £20 P/H

The role

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect surgical instruments and medical equipment

• Ensure proper sterilisation of instruments and equipment using autoclaves or other sterilisation methods

• Assemble instrument trays and supply carts for surgical procedures

• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections

• Maintain accurate records of instrument sterilisation and maintenance

• Inventory and restock sterile supplies as needed

• Collaborate with operating room staff to meet surgical equipment needs

• Troubleshoot sterilisation equipment issues and perform routine maintenance

• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in sterile processing

• Prioritise patient safety and contribute to the overall quality of healthcare delivery

Nursing requirements

• 6 months’ experience within a UK healthcare setting
