£26.00-£28.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay
£28.00-£33.00 umbrella per hour
All rates depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Working Days and Hours: 37.5 hours per week, internal rotation.
Job Purpose
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the hospital site and be the key contact for operational / capacity related issues throughout the Trust.
The Senior Clinical Site Manager provides a 24 hour leadership and managerial presence on the Hospital Site. They will provide immediate response to emergency incidents across the site to safeguard patients, carers, relatives and employee safety. They take a lead in managing and coordinating emergency situations, liaising with Trust Management and external stakeholders to bring incidents to a safe conclusion.
Job Description
- Authority to act on behalf of Trust management out of hours.
- To support and assist where required the Clinical Site Manager with the Hospital at Night duties.
- Work at all times in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct: standards for conduct, performance and ethics (2004)
- Responding to, leading, managing and coordinating emergency situations 24 hours per day.
- Work with the Head of Site Management to develop the site management service to meet the changing demands of the trust.
- Provide situational data on demand and capacity.
- Taking a lead role in implementing the business continuity plan for the Clinical Site Managers
- To assist in the management of clinical and non-clinical emergency situations
- Ensure adherence to Trust policies, procedures and current legislation, and the interpretation of these in out of hour’s situations.
- To provide a seamless service that ensures that the hospital is a safe and effective environment for patients, visitors and staff across 24 hours a day.
Education and Qualifications
- RGN with evidence of Continued Personal Development at degree level in a relevant discipline to nursing, health/social care or management.
- Management qualification and silver standard major incident training.
Personal Specification & Experience
- Senior Operational Management experience and a good understanding of the drivers and constraints around effective bed management and formal line management of teams.
- In-depth experience working in an operational role and good clinical understanding.
- Understanding of relevant Government health strategies and implications for nursing.
- Previous experience of advanced clinical practice.
- Ward/Team Management experience,
- A reasonable understanding of the theory of constraints and / or queuing theory
- Ability to meet the fundamental aspects of the role and be able to work flexibly to provide 24/7 cover where required.
- A good Clinical knowledge base supported by ILS.
