Location: New Malden

Job Type: Temporary

Duration of Booking: Expected to last 4 weeks with a possible extension.

Pay Rates: Up to £13 PAYE Inclusive of Holiday pay – Up to £14 Umbrella

Hours per week: 20 - 32 hours per week

Working days: Monday – Friday

Sector: Healthcare

Based: Health centre

 

Essential:

  • A full understanding of:
    1. QOF
    2. PPA
    3. CQC
  • Experience working in a GP Surgery
  • Experience using EMIS. 
  • Experience with using Docman Workflow

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Always ensure compliance with patient confidentiality, in line with current legislation.
  • Working with the Reception Team/ Team Leader, maintain an accurate and efficient appointment system – taking account of national and local requirements on access and patient surveys.
  • Participate in regular audits across all services regarding patient satisfaction conducted in conjunction with the reception team and phone system audit.
  • Use all feedback from patients and staff to improve the front-line service to customers, and that the Practices newsletter is produced regularly.
  • Ensure that there is service continuity in conjunction with the Reception Team Leader in terms of face-to-face client reception and call handling.
  • Be the first point of contact of for complaints and resolve as appropriately, ensuring relevant reporting of complaints and incidents. 
  • Act as primary point of contact for the dissemination of information and communication with internal and external parties,
  • Initiate, develop and maintain excellent third-party relationships, e.g.: patient group and other stakeholders to grow, maintain and support services and performance delivery.
  • Maintain stock control and stationery in liaison with the Practice Manager and ensure that these are ordered appropriately.
  • Assist the Practice Manager in ensuring that all requirements for registration under the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are kept up to date.
  • Assist the Practice Manager to ensure requirements, for example, under Quality Practice Award (QPA) are maintained at all times.
  • Participate in audit where appropriate.
