Working Days and Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00

Travelling for work purposes: The successful candidate is expected to work on site at our client’s office and travel to other sites locally as and when required
Job Purpose
To support the People team in the provision of a professional, high quality, proactive and efficient People Service.
To provide advice and support to staff and managers at all levels on the application of Trust policies and procedures and current employment law relating to People management issues during either informal or formal processes
Duties
- To provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on a wide range of employment issues, to include: managing attendance, performance, conduct, complaints of unfair treatment and grievance.
- To manage a caseload of employee relations cases, liaising directly with staff and managers to bring cases to a timely and appropriate conclusion.
- To provide advice and guidance to managers and all staff, including medical and dental staff, on the interpretation of Trust policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment and employment legislation including medical and dental staff.
- To advise and support managers in effective recruitment and retention initiatives, ensuring it is timely and that fair and equitable recruitment and selection procedures are followed in accordance with Trust policies and relevant employment legislation.
- To liaise with other People colleagues as appropriate to maintain effective communication links and to ensure that best practice to shared and developed.
- To assist Investigating Officers during employee related investigations. To support in the development of the investigation report and the presentation of findings at any subsequent hearing.
- To liaise with the Workforce Team and other employee information systems to ensure that the People Business Partner receives regular monitoring information.
- To work with the People Manager to interpret workforce information and performance indicators.
- To use and provide workforce information to assist and support the decision making process for managers relating to human resource issues.
- To fully understand the key people related strategies and associated workforce requirements for both current and future Business Unit plans.
- Support the Business Units and Managers with identifying training needs and contribute to planning training and development interventions.
- Provides advice and support to the Business Units in developing People related strategies i.e. sickness absence interventions to ensure that local and national targets can be met.
- Provides advice and support to the Business Unit on general people related issues, making a full assessment of the issues before determining what action to take and seeking advice and guidance from the People Manager as appropriate to ensure good practice and consistency of approach across HCT.
