Corporate Fundraising Officer

The Corporate Fundraising Officer will focus on delivering corporate sponsorships for our Light the South 2024 art event with a target of £400,000 of sponsorship to be achieved by the launch of the event in the summer of 2024.

Location: Southampton  

Job Type: Temporary 

Duration of booking: Expected to last 5-6 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £20 per hour Umbrella or £17.50 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm 

Sector: Healthcare 

Based: Office / Hospital 

  • Knowledge of donor management databases, e.g. donorflex 
  • Proactively identify, engage, and cultivate prospective corporates to deliver on the Light the South income target
  • Create proposals and pitches to potential corporate partners
  • Report on new business pipeline and performance
  • Deliver on agreed income and expenditure targets
  • Represent the charity and partner meetings, presentations, and events
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build strong partnership proposals

The suitable candidate will have:

  • A demonstrable track record of new business recruitment within the charity sector of experience gained in a relevant sales field.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and an ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills, with experience of managing stakeholders across a range of projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrable success in fundraising or income generation.
  • Ability to work onsite, remotely, and attend offsite events and meetings
