The role

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, your focus will be on providing comprehensive care and support to patients dealing with mental health challenges. You’ll assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with various mental health conditions, such as depression, schizophrenia, or anxiety disorders.  Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in crisis intervention, ensuring the safety of patients who may be at risk of self-harm or harm to others. 

You need high levels of clinical expertise, patience, resilience, and the ability to handle high-pressured situations, using your knowledge and specialist skills to perform de-escalation techniques when necessary.

Nursing requirements

• NMC registration
