We currently have a full time Ward Manager position available. This is a supernumerary role to ensure effective running and oversight of the ward.

You need high levels of clinical expertise, patience, resilience, and the ability to handle high-pressured situations, using your knowledge and specialist skills to perform de-escalation techniques when necessary. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the 9-bed female unit.
• Provide effective clinical leadership and support to the nursing and healthcare team.
• Oversee patient care plans, ensuring they are individualized and focused on recovery.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid license.
• Experience in a managerial or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to patient-centred care, quality, and safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
