The role

As an experienced Paediatric Nurse, you’ll provide compassionate and specialised care to young patients, addressing both their medical and emotional needs. You’ll administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to paediatric patients, monitor their vital signs, and educate families about childhood illnesses and preventive measures. You’ll play a crucial role in alleviating the fears and anxieties of young patients and their parents, offering emotional support and creating a comforting environment. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with paediatricians and the healthcare team to develop care plans, advocate for your patients' best interests, and ensure that children receive the highest standard of healthcare. 

To be right for this role, you’ll have a friendly, approachable demeanour, outstanding communication skills, high levels of emotional resilience, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and the confidence to make quick judgement calls when required.

Nursing requirements

• NMC registration

• 12 months’ minimum NHS experience within a UK healthcare setting

• Right to work in the UK
