Within this position, your responsibilities will revolve around safeguarding the health and well-being of the vulnerable infants under your supervision. Your tasks will encompass continuous monitoring and assessment of vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and delivering necessary treatments to ensure their proper development. You'll also be involved in aiding with feeding, assisting parents in caring for their babies, and educating families on infant care and developmental milestones. 

When working in the Special Care Baby Unit, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment, including incubators and ventilators. An integral aspect of your role will involve advocating for the emotional needs of both infants and parents, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment throughout their SCBU journey.

Our client in Carlisle is looking for a Neonatal Nurse to cover shifts in the SCBU on a flexible basis.

Requirements

- NMC registration

- 6 months' experience within a UK healthcare setting

- Right to work in the UK
