The role
As a High Dependency Unit (HDU) Nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in providing specialised care to patients who require a higher level of monitoring and support. Your duties will include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical equipment. You’ll be responsible for closely observing patients, assessing their condition, and promptly intervening in case of deterioration. You’ll be confident collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Additionally, you’ll provide emotional support to both patients and their families during often stressful and critical moments, using effective communication and showing empathy when needed.
