The position is within a NHS Hospital Laboratory in Brighton amongst a strong team, developing new techniques and working to maintain the highest standards within the department.

Requirements:

•    HCPC Registration

•    Biomedical Science Background

•    Histology background

•    Cutting Sections on a Microtome (Upwards of 30+ single blocks per hour)

•    Embedding using Paraffin Wax

•    Special Staining

•    Frozen Sections

•    Ideal Candidate would have experience in Immunohistochemistry

•    Full time (Minimum 37.5 hours)

•    Ongoing Contract

•    Core Hours

•    Band 5/6

•    PAYE payment

•    Processing samples in Diagnostics Lab

We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational skills who can provide high levels of quality control whilst working under pressure. It is essential they can pay close attention to detail and understand how to prioritise their workload.

The job will involve working within a team; therefore, the applicant must be comfortable working with others and independently.
