B6 Occupational Therapist Surgery Ward

Your World is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 OT for work on a locum basis. You will be joining an outstanding team within a well-known acute hospital in East London.

Who are we looking for?

As a Band 6 OT, you will have the knowledge, skills and qualifications to take on the role. You must possess a kind, confident and motivated personality with the ability to communicate to an exceptional standard with both patients and colleagues.

You will be working on a 46 bedded elective surgery unit. Working alongside a band 6 Physio and a band 5 Physio. Assess and treat patients who have arrived for elective surgeries. Ability to follow NICE Hip guideline. Previous experience working with patients in the acute setting within Orthopaedics desirable. Experience working with Patients with physiological and cognitive changes post tumour excision.  Ability to discharge plan in a timely manner, on a fast-paced ward. 

Requirements

• Full OT qualifications
• HCPC registration
• UK Occupational Therapy experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
